Summary
Medium-sized macrocyclic PEM molecules targeting challenging and therapeutically relevant GPCR’s
Protein Epitope Mimetics (PEMs) are fully synthetic, medium-sized macrocyclic peptide- like molecules designed to address challenging therapeutically relevant targets. A library of PEM molecules (PEMfinder® Library) was designed, synthesized and screened on challenging GPCRs, in particular chemokine receptors. Potent hits on CXCR4, CXCR7 and CCR10 were discovered. A CXCR4 case study which led to the discovery of POL6326 will be discussed in more detail.
