About the faculty

The Faculty of Sciences of the VU University Amsterdam is organized in 4 departments: Computer Sciences, Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Mathematics. The Faculty offers 9 undergraduate programmes and 12 two-years Master’s Programmes. Research and teaching are tightly interwoven and strong links exist with other faculties like medicine, earth- en life sciences, economics, psychology and social sciences. The faculty is highly attractive for scientists and students from abroad as is clear from the wide range of nationalities represented. The international focus of the faculty stimulates strong international collaboration and improves the quality and impact of the conducted scientific research substantially.
