Practising
During your rehearsals, you will probably discover which parts of your presentation are good and which are less so. You then have the opportunity to make changes. It is therefore wise to start practising well in advance of the presentation date itself. Your rehearsals will be more valuable if the situation is as close as possible to that 'on the day'.
Tips:
- First practise without an audience. You might like to record your presentation and listen critically to it yourself. You should also practise in front of a mirror.
- Next, hold a 'dress rehearsal' of your presentation for an invited audience of fellow students or other friends. Ask them to devote special attention to certain points and invite their feedback afterwards.
