Workshop Sustainable Energy
Exploring the potential for Sustainable Energy at VUA
In this workshop we bring together researchers at VUA who work in the area of Sustainable Energy in various disciplines. The workshop is organized within the S4S (Science for Sustainability) framework that is exploring the opportunities to establish a large cluster of research and teaching around the theme of Sustainable Earth, Energy & Human Environment at the VUA.
Researchers from several disciplines present their perspective on sustainable energy. Based on these presentations we will discuss the possibilities for closer collaboration around the theme of Sustainable Energy. Key questions to be addressed are:
What expertise is currently available at VUA? Who performs what type of research on sustainable energy? What is the future potential of sustainable energy research? How can we stimulate interdisciplinary research on this subject? Do we need to strengthen our curriculum in the area of energy? Do we need new organizational form to enhance the strength of teaching and research?
