Why study at VU University Amsterdam

The Systems Biology group at VU University Amsterdam is strong in both theory and modeling as well as in experimental research. The group focuses on microorganisms. Being at this interface allows the group to investigate relevant biological questions in systems biology, propose hypotheses and investigate these theoretically and experimentally. Topics are: large scale metabolic modeling, whole cell modeling, evolution and optimality of cellular regulation, single cell variability, and experimental evolution.
