during my sabbatical 2011/12 -- multimedia @ VU

From august 2011 to august 2012, I plan to take a sabbatical year for travel, further study and personal development. With my collegues, we strive for as less an impact as possible for students following my multimedia courses. First year and obligatory bachelor courses will be taken care of by post-docs from the Business, Web & Media group as indicated below.

courses 2011/2012

For the remaining courses, students are advised to find an alternative either at VU or UvA, as indicated below. The following courses will not be given in 2011/12:

Students that select any of the above or other courses to complete their master program in time, are strongly advised to request formal approval of their program from the exam committee. For master thesis projects, students mCS/MM that wish to finish before july 2011, should contact me before december 2010. Other students must look for a thesis-advisor among the staff of the CS-department of the FEW. Further information may be obtained from Otto Schrofer or the VU staff members mentioned below.

postscript

Although finding suitable courses and topics is adequately provided for, I wish to indicate some potential problems that may occur in the period that I am not available: The lack of technical support concerns mainly to use of XIMPEL and the flex/as3 SDK.

Currently Otto Schrofer has been mentioned as contact person, but this may change in the course of 2011/2012. Such changes will be announced either via email or posted on the multimedia @ VU common(s). (Æ)
