As a new Google eye-tracking study revealed, video thumbnails in Universal Search do help to “make it easier” for users to find results. In a Multimedia Information system, using video thumbnails is an efficient and practical way to improve the user experience.

In the XimpelStoryboard interface, VideoThumbnail objects are generated and connected to show the storyboard of a Ximpel game. Each video thumbnail represents a video in the Ximpel storyboard.

A VideoThumbnail instance consists of an overlay and an image captured from the video which is linked with the overlay

To show the relationship between these videos, I use SpringGraph which is a Flex component that displays a set of items that linked to each other. As illustrated in the following figure, many video thumbnails are connected to show the storyline of Ximpel game.
