Since March 2008 I've been a PhD Student at Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. I am currently part of the Systems and Security Group under the supervision of Prof. Andrew S. Tanenbaum and Dr. Bruno Crispo. My research interests are security and privacy applied to both the network and the end host. In the past I worked on providing privacy in the context of Wireless Sensor Network. My doctoral research is now focused on detection of privacy-breaching malware.

Essential Bio

I obtained my MSc in Computer Science (Summa Cum Laude) in 2008 at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice (Italy). The thesis "Towards a model-based Risk Management" was due to a collaboration with the DIES group (chief Prof. Peter Hartel) at the Universiteit of Twente (NL). My work in that group was supervised by Prof. Riccardo Focardi and Prof. Sandro Etalle.
