Welcome to the webpage of the VU Computational Medicinal Chemistry group.
The VU Computational Medicinal Chemistry team (led by
Dr. Chris de Graaf
) is part of the
Division Medicinal Chemistry
(
AIMMS
) of
VU University Amsterdam
(headed by
Prof. Dr. Leurs
,
Prof. Dr. De Esch
,
Prof. Dr. Smit
) that combines computational medicinal chemistry (
Dr. De Graaf
), synthetic medicinal chemistry (
Dr. Wijtmans
), molecular pharmacology (
Dr. Vischer
), and receptor biochemistry (
Dr. Siderius
) to understand ligand-receptor interaction at the molecular detail, to elucidate receptor signaling networks, and to use this knowledge for the computional design and synthesis of new bioactive molecules.
